Making Rose Water
If you have a rose garden, you can make free rosewater. Contrary to what you might think, you can't just make rosewater by popping some rose petals into tap water. It's more complicated than that. That is certainly one way to get the essence of the rose petals but it's more like a rose steeped tea. To make rose water, it starts with rose petals, distilled water, a bowl, & a pot.
First, clean & wash the rose petals. Just like you wash your Brussels sprouts to get rid of any dirt for bugs, you do the same with your rose petals. Then place the petals into the bowl. You'll pour the distilled water into the pot, placed the bowl In the pot of water, and then place the lid on it. The condensation created by the distilled water as it mixes with the essence of the rose petals creates what we know as rose water. Browse rose water products for hair on Amazon.
